George Simon is Of Counsel at McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co. LPA. He is also an entrepreneur with extensive experience in real estate transactions and real estate development. He works with the principals of office buildings, hotels and motels, restaurants and banquet centers.
On the financing side – Mr. Simon raises capital and puts together investment groups for a variety of acquisitions including multi-family housing, commercial and hospitality properties. He also advises clients on the appropriate corporate structure best suited for their particular investment group. He is well-versed in structuring the financing and refinancing of commercial assets. He represents buyers of commercial debt and foreclosed properties.
Mr. Simon has experience in commercial lease negotiations, ground-up building construction, and redevelopment of existing buildings. Aspects of this include land use and zoning issues, financing land parcels, and structuring letters of intent and purchase agreements.
He has a history of involvement in the entertainment industry. Mr. Simon represents musicians, actors and professional athletes. He was a member of the production team for the Broadway Show “Laughing Room Only” starring Jackie Mason. He served as special counsel to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and local Cleveland investors in their purchase of the Debbie Reynolds Hotel in Las Vegas and for the WWF Café in New York City, a property now known as the Hard Rock Café Times Square.
Mr. Simon is the Law Director for the Village of Linndale. He serves as the Magistrate for the City of Maple Heights and the Village of Brooklyn Heights. He is also a substitute Magistrate for the sitting Magistrate in Woodmere.
