CLEVELAND, OH (August 18, 2016) – McCarthy Lebit is pleased to announce that lawyer Jonathan C. Wolnik, CPA, joined the firm as an associate attorney.
Wolnik will be primarily working in the business and tax practice groups at McCarthy Lebit. He will be responsible for assisting clients with all matters related to federal, state and local tax compliance, audit resolution and tax planning. Further, he will be working with business entities by assisting with organization structuring, transaction guidance and in all areas of operational regulation and compliance.
In addition to being a newly licensed attorney, Wolnik is also a certified public accountant who brings nearly 15 years of experience to the firm. He has prior experience as an external auditor with a special focus on Medicare and Medicaid compliance related to long-term care facilities and hospitals. Additionally, he has internal audit experience focused on risk management programs and US Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 compliance. Finally, he has experience in forensic accounting and fraud resolution both within for-profit and not-for-profit entities.
He earned his bachelor of science in business administration and master of business administration from John Carroll University and later earned his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law.
