CLEVELAND, OH (June 1, 2017) – McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., LPA is pleased to announce the promotion of Katie Arthurs and Jack Moran to principal.

Arthurs began her career with the firm as a law clerk in 2010. She moved on to become an associate in the firm’s family law practice. Arthurs focuses her practice on divorce, dissolution of marriage, prenuptial agreements, child custody, child and spousal support, guardianships and step-parent adoptions. In addition to her litigation proficiency, she is trained in collaborative law, mediation and parenting coordination. Arthurs applies her experience in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution to help families reach successful outcomes through creative, “big picture” solutions.

Arthurs is a graduate of Case Western Reserve School of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree at John Carroll University. She received the Avvo Client’s Choice Award for 2016. Arthurs is the secretary of the board of the Center for Principal Family Advocacy.

Moran also joined the firm as a law clerk in 2010. Since then, he progressed to a business litigation associate with a focus in employment law.  Moran’s practice emphasizes representation regarding claims of unlawful retaliation and discrimination, wage and hour disputes, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, breach of contract matters and other related issues.  His business litigation and trial experience also expand beyond employment law, with significant successes in real estate litigation.

Moran received his juris doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Villanova University. He was recognized by Ohio Super Lawyers® Rising Stars™ in 2015-2017. He is active in the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Inn of Court and the Cleveland Employment Lawyers Association. Moran is a nationally-published author who frequently writes and lectures on employment law matters.

“It has made the firm proud to watch Katie and Jack grow,” said Kenneth B. Liffman, McCarthy Lebit’s managing principal. “They are an integral part of our team and we look forward to their continued success as principals.”
