Ken is Managing Principal of our Firm. As Managing Principal, Ken leads McCarthy, Lebit by both policy and example, working long hours to manage the Firm, while at the same time responding to his clients' needs in lightning fashion. Ken is one of the area's outstanding corporate attorneys and a well-recognized authority on real estate law, having been named seven years in a row as one of Northeast Ohio's Top Real Estate Attorneys by Inside Business Magazine and as an Ohio Super Lawyer for the past six years by Cincinnati Magazine. He was also named by his peers to Best Lawyers in America 2006-2010.
His real estate law practice focuses on the acquisition and sale of commercial and industrial real estate, as well as construction and commercial lease matters. He has also developed interests in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, working closely with clients entering into transactions that are crucial to the success of their businesses as well as their own careers. It's little wonder that many of Ken's clients consider him a key confidant and turn to him for sage advice on legal and general business issues.
Ken's legal interest extends to virtually all arenas of financial law, and he frequently serves clients engaged in large and complex lending transactions. He also represents several of Ohio's largest financial institutions in commercial loans and structured finance transactions and agreements.
Ken is admitted to the Bars of Ohio and Florida. He is a native Clevelander, and received his undergraduate degree from Miami University (Ohio). He graduated magna cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1979.
