Christian R. Patno is a Principal at McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., L.P.A., and with his over 20 years of complex trial experience, oversees the personal injury practice at the Firm. Mr. Patno specializes in catastrophic personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death matters. His unique skills and vast experience provide him with the ability to organize and process highly technical information in a way that allows juries to understand the claim he presents on a very simple level. Mr. Patno has dedicated his career and utilized the extensive knowledge gained to not only help clients in court, but just as importantly, to educate manufacturers, employers and parents of the unique dangers which exist in their environment and how to protect against them. Through litigation, Mr. Patno has actually caused companies and medical providers to change their safety practices so that injuries similar to those in the litigation do not ever happen in the future. Mr. Patno is often sought as a speaker to State and Local trial lawyer organizations on litigation, trial preparation and trial advocacy issues.

Since 1995, Mr. Patno is personally responsible for obtaining at least 25 verdicts and/or settlements on behalf of his clients in excess of $1 million. Eleven of those results were at or above $2 million. To date, the highest monetary award Mr. Patno has reached on behalf of a client is $8.5 million. Yet, the highest success viewed by Mr. Patno in his years of practice does not include money obtained, but instead focuses on the changes he has caused that will prevent future injury. As a father of two children, insuring the safety of innocent children has been a paramount concern of his both professionally as well as in the home environment. He has volunteered his time on many occasions to speak with organizations, professionals, and students concerning issues of safety.  Many of his cases have obtained print and televised media exposure.

Mr. Patno was recently selected again by his peers as one of the top 100 Super Lawyers in the State of Ohio, one of the top 50 Super Lawyers in the City of Cleveland, and one of the Best Lawyers in America. He has had the distinction as a Super Lawyer since the inception of this recognition.
