Charles A. Nemer

Charles A. Nemer is a principal at McCarthy, Lebit, Crystal & Liffman Co., L.P.A. Mr. Nemer's practice focuses mainly on title insurance defense, commercial foreclosures, receivership practice, real estate litigation, business transactions, real estate acquisitions and financing, as well as all areas pertaining to liquor law. Mr. Nemer has served the title insurance industry in many capacities, including general counsel for a title agency as well as title insurer claims counsel.

Mr. Nemer has extensive experience with all aspects of commercial and industrial real estate transactions including commercial real estate workouts. In his practice, he negotiates and drafts business organizational documents, as well as purchase, sale, options, and other transaction agreements and related documents. These include loan documents, commercial leases, easements, options and right of first refusal agreements. Mr. Nemer also assists borrowers in determining the correct vehicle for loan resolutions, such as forbearances, loan modification, discounted payoffs, deed in lieu of foreclosure, loan assumption, non-judicial foreclosures and lender liability litigation.

As a result of his devotion to public work, Mr. Nemer was appointed to the Ohio Lottery Commission by Governor Bob Taft and approved by the Ohio Senate in 2001. He was reappointed in 2004 and elected by his fellow Commissioners as Vice-Chair. Mr. Nemer is also the Assistant Law Director and Prosecutor for the Village of Linndale.
