Ann-Marie Ahern has dedicated her entire career to representing people in employment disputes. Ms. Ahern has tried cases to juries involving issues of race, gender, age and disability discrimination, wrongful discharge and retaliation. Prior to joining the Firm in 2007, Ms. Ahern practiced with the Simon Law Firm, where she was the second chair litigator in an age discrimination lawsuit that resulted in a $31 million dollar verdict in favor of a single plaintiff. Ms. Ahern is an experienced appellate advocate, having briefed and argued cases on appeal in both state and federal court.
Ms. Ahern continues to focus the majority of her practice on employment litigation, representing clients in state and federal court on matters involving discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, whistleblowing, and overtime violations. Ms. Ahern also regularly represents executives in negotiating employment agreements and separation packages.
Ms. Ahern is a frequent speaker on employee rights in the workplace and has been published several times in Trial Magazine. She is also currently sits on the 2010-2011 Board of Trustees of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation and is the Co-Chair of the Communications and Public Relations Committee.
